Here at Geek Madrid we’re dedicated to making sure that you don’t miss out on any of the cool things that Madrid has for people like us.

Whether it’s conventions, comic book stores, bars with arcade machines, board game cafes, we’ve got you covered.

We have posts about all the best places to go and things to do, we have a schedule of upcoming events, and we have a map of where all the places mentioned are.

Basically, we’re fantastic!

As you’ve probably noticed, the site is in English. That’s because it was the brainchild of Bez, a British games designer who now lives in Madrid.

Don’t think the site is just for native English speakers though. If you’re a Spaniard (or any other nationality) and you’re after  practice reading in English, this is a great place to do that. Heck, we take submissions for articles, so you can even practice writing English here.

Basically, everyone is welcome, so long as they obey the golden rule: “Don’t be an arsehole!”

Finally, Geek Madrid is paid for by the adverts, affiliate links, and shop on the site. So if you like the site, please consider buying something once in a while using one of those.

The adverts on the site are a mix of paid adverts and affiliate links.

If a website that is linked to in a post has an affiliate scheme, the link in the post is almost certainly an affiliate link (that is we get a few cents for every Euro you spend at that place when you get there through our link).

Nobody is likely to be getting rich off the ads and affiliate links, but hopefully they’ll pay for the domain name, hosting, and some of the time we spend working on the site.
