A selection of kids games, to rival that of a good-sized toy store, greets you when you walk in this store. That’s the first clue it’s not aiming at the hardcore tabletop gamer.

The left-hand chunk of the shop is taken up by jigsaws, which confirms it.

There is a small selection of modern tabletop games on the back wall and part of the right-hand side of the shop. However, there are several comic book stores with as good a selection, let alone game stores. So, only worth going into for modern games if you’re already in the area.

The traditional games selection of offer here is pretty good though, so if you’re looking for a chess set or a deck of ordinary playing cards, you could do a lot worse. Likewise, the jigsaw selection mentioned above is pretty good, as is the children’s games section.

Still, it’s a different sort of games store to those pushing Magic and Warhammer, so if you’re in the mood for something more traditional, maybe go along and have a look.
