Atlantica PopLand & Harry Potter Store
The ground floor of the store is almost entirely Funko Pop!, though there’s also a small number of other figures, such as Q-Posket and the like.
As the sister store to Atlántica 3.0, so it should come as no surprise that it’s a great place to go for Funko Pop! figures. I didn’t count, but there’s probably a more extensive selection here than anywhere else in Madrid.
That explains the ‘Atlantica PopLand’ portion of the name, but what about the second half? Well, over in one corner of the store is a stairway down into the basement.
Descending the stairs does have something of the feel of leaving muggle life for the wizarding world, as you move from the bright white shop full of brightly coloured cutesy figures into a wood and brick shop filled with less colourful wonders.
If you are a fan of Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts, you are bound to find something of interest down there.
There are chocolate frogs, there are t-shirts, there are books about the setting, there are scarves for the four houses, there are posters, and there are mugs.
Are you looking for a wand? Well, this is probably the best selection available outside Olivanders. I counted 75 different (movie-accurate) replica wands, with display racks also for sale.
All in all, I’m very impressed. Both parts of the store are quite specialist, but if there’s a Pop! figure you’ve been looking for, trying here first is probably a good idea. Meanwhile, if you are a fan of Harry Potter, your main problem will be not running out of money.
