Madrid Comics

A good selection of comic books and manga awaits you inside Madrid Comics. This is a bit more of a traditional comic book store than the modern bright and open stores you tend to see now.

Don’t get me wrong, that’s not to say it’s dingy, but there are wooden racks of issues and a few plastic crates of books on the floor.

Likewise, while there are some memorabilia, there’s not a lot of it. The emphasis is on comics, not merch.

The stock isn’t as old-school as the aesthetic though, with all the latest issues available, and while many of the trade volumes are classic, there’s also new stuff in there as well, striking a good balance.

There’s also a downstairs area to the shop, although when we visited this was half empty, what was down there included some 60s and 70s vinyl records, and more interestingly a range of ‘zines from the 70s and 80s.
