Meltdown Madrid

Meltdown Madrid

Meltdown Madrid is an esports bar that while being part of a franchise feels more like a small rock bar than something with branches in several countries.

They’ve got three screens of streaming content if you’d rather watch than play (or while waiting your turn).

If you do want to play, there’s a couple of Nintendo Switches, a PS4 and twelve gaming PCs, all of which are free to use as long as you’re buying drinks. The place also holds events and an esports league.

There’s a reasonable selection of drinks, including some quite tasty cocktails available for 7€ (a mere 5€ each between 19:00-22:00) and non-alcoholic cocktails too. There’s also a small food selection if you get peckish.

It’s nowhere near as polished a place as the nearby OhMyGame, and the food selection isn’t as good, but it’s cheaper and cosier, and I really like it.

We’ll be going again.
