Metrópolis is another ‘jack-of-all-trades’ comic shop.

They have a reasonable amount of merchandise for the size of the store, without being enough that I’d recommend it as the place to go for merch.

There’s some manga, but nowhere near enough to suggest you make a special trip.

Some individual comic issues are present, but hardly a comprehensive selection, so it doesn’t stand out there either.

Nor does the small number of novels excite me.

The only ‘non-standard’ part of the store is that there’s a reasonable selection of history books, but even then there are various bookstores in the city that are better for that.

I have nothing against Metrópolis and were it in an outlying suburb or a small town it would be a perfect comic book shop. It’s in the centre of a major city though. For everything they have an okay stock of, there’s a store with a better choice within five minutes walk.

Open: 11:00-14:30 & 16:30-20:30 Mon-Sat.

Nearest Metros: Santo Domingo or Noviciado (line 2), Callao (lines 3 & 5).
